AI for Coaches: A Comprehensive Guide for 2025
The Coaching industry grew around 7–9% in 2024 hitting $24 Billion, and in 2025 is poised for a further 8–10% growth. In spite of mixed predictions from some due to AI influences, the coaching industry remains on a strong upward trajectory, likely landing somewhere above $30 billion globally by the end of 2025. Adopting AI for coaches is important because the fast adopters will have a large competitive advantage.
2025 belongs to AI and it will change the world as we know it faster than ever before. AI is creating many, many opportunities. 2025 is a year that can help you grow your business exponentially if you embrace AI and use it in your coaching business.
Like any other tool, it needs to be adopted with caution. First, understand the true needs of your business, then explore the tools. Never take a tool-first approach because it will make you lose sight of your priorities. You will get drawn into cool features and pay for upgrades you do not need.
It’s important to note that these tools won’t replace the empathy, intuition, and experience of a human coach. Even for content creation you cannot take the human out of the process. AI Tools are best used as supportive assistants. They can help you streamline admin tasks, brainstorm new ideas, and crunch your data into clear insights so you can spend more time coaching and supporting clients.
AI for Coaches: AI LLMs
What is a LLM?
A Large Language Model (LLM) is an AI model that is trained on large amounts of data so that it can understand and generate human-like language. These models use deep learning techniques to predict and generate text in response to your input.
Key features of LLMs:
Training Data – They are trained to understand context, grammar, and semantics using books, articles, websites, and other text sources.
Natural Language Understanding (NLU): They can understand and process human language with high accuracy.
Text Generation – They generate human-like responses, making them suitable for writing, summarising, and translating.
Adaptability – They can be traines for specific tasks such as customer service, content creation, programming, and much more.
Context Awareness – They can remember context during a conversation, resulting in more meaningful and coherent conversations and engagement.
How can coaches use LLMs?
As a coach, LLMs can be your secret weapon for growing your business and reducing effort/burnout. They allow you to easily create content—whether it’s blog posts, email sequences, or social media captions—so you can stay visible without spending hours brainstorming.
They can also make administrative tasks easier. Tasks like summarising client sessions, writing onboarding materials, and creating personalised coaching resources etc. Imagine having an AI assistant that helps you create high-converting sales pages, webinar scripts, and lead magnets, freeing up your time to focus on what you do best—coaching.
1. ChatGPT
What is Chat GPT?
ChatGPT is an LLM (large language model) designed by OpenAI. It can create a realistic live chat experience and (the pro version) is connected to the internet. Being connected to the internet helps it quickly source and share information that would otherwise take a long time to find online. It can help you with ideas, and get clarity through conversation.
How Can Coaches Use ChatGPT?
Chat GPT can help coaches create blog posts, newsletters, or social media updates using topic ideas or even partial outlines. However, it’s important to note that producing low-quality articles with no distinction from other articles already on the internet is not going to help you get visibility as Google has no reason to index such content.
It is however very useful for to help coaches with other tasks like:
- Inspirational quotes
- Social Media copy
- Questioning techniques for more meaningful client interactions
- Session Planning
- Outline the session structure or workshop agenda.
- Get suggestions for coaching activities.
- Research
- Resource Creation
- Quickly summarise articles, research papers, or books that you want to recommend to clients.
- Create personalised journaling prompts or reflection questions based on a client’s goals.
- Suggest appropriate follow-up tasks or reading lists.
2. Perplexity
What is Perplexity?
One of my favourite tools, Perplexity is an AI-powered research and question-answering tool that excels at providing quick, concise answers that include sources. Unlike a pure chatbot (like ChatGPT), it is more of a cross between a search engine and a generative AI assistant.
How Can Coaches Use Perplexity?
The simple answer is… Perplexity can help coaches do whatever other search engines do with more insight. Perplexity often includes links to the sources from which it got its information. This is invaluable for verifying data and adding credibility to your client resources and online content.
- It’s strongest use cases are probably Research and Fact-Checking.
- Finding research statistics and data that might be otherwise difficult to source.
- For example, if you require real-time data or statistics on well-being, productivity, or leadership trends, Perplexity can provide reliable information and give you the sources where it found the information.
- It includes references so you can dig deeper into the information.
- It can also help with Content Ideas and Inspiration. Look for the “best coaching exercises for stress relief” or encore “mindfulness activity ideas.” Make quick outlines for content like blog posts and videos.
- Collate information to create a Customer Resource database
- Get recommendations for books, articles, or tools that can help clients with specific issues.
3. Claude
What Is Claude?
Claude is an AI chatbot created by Anthropic. It is quite similar to ChatGPT. It can understand the context and generate detailed responses. It’s known for being safer and often giving more cautious outputs. Claude’s “safe” approach can be reassuring, but always ensure the advice and tone match your professional standards.
How Can Coaches Use Claude?
Claude can help coaches create blog posts, newsletters, or social media content using topic ideas or even partial outlines. It’s strength lies in its ‘safety’ – compared to other LLMs it is more controlled and tends to err on the side of caution. This makes it perhaps more adapt to coaches than ChatGPT. Here are some ways you can use it. Everything we mentioned for ChatGPT also applies for Claude.
- Creating Coaching Materials
- Create reflection prompts, session outlines, or coaching frameworks.
- Brainstorm ideas for workshops or group coaching programs.
- Role-Play Scenarios
- For executive or leadership coaches, you might simulate conversations or scenarios (e.g., difficult client interactions, performance reviews) for practice or demonstration.
- Ethical & Values Exploration
- Claude’s emphasis on safety can be helpful when you want an AI that’s less likely to produce problematic content. It can help you explore ethically grounded approaches to coaching situations.
4. DeepSeek
What It Is DeepSeek?
“Deep Seek” can refer to a few different AI-driven services, but broadly speaking, tools under this name (or those with “deep” in their brand) often focus on deep search, analysis, or insight extraction. They’re typically designed to dive into large sets of information—web content, internal documents, PDFs, transcripts—and pull out key themes or answers. These tools tend to outperform regular LLMs for strategic outputs.
How Can Coaches Use DeepSeek?
- Client Materials & Historical Notes
If you have a large library of coaching materials (session notes, worksheets, recorded webinars), a deep-search tool can help you quickly locate and compile resources tailored to a client’s needs. - Insight Extraction
Gather broad patterns from multiple client feedback forms or surveys to refine your coaching programs. - Advanced Content Curation
If you have a membership site or resource library, an AI tool like Deep Seek can help clients search and find relevant lessons or guides.
AI Marketing Tools for Coaches
The first and most common need is AI marketing tools for coaches. There are hundreds of marketing tools, so start by looking at which of these you’re already doing and check whether the tool introduced below can help you save time and money.
Content Creation Marketing Tools:
1. Writing
Grammarly
What does Grammarly do?
Grammarly checks grammar, spelling, tone, and clarity in realtime. It is ideal if you create content for your site or social media and are not a first-language English speaker (or a first language in the language you use to market your coaching services).
How do coaches use Grammarly?
Most coaches use Grammarly to avoid typos or awkward phrasing when writing emails, newsletters, or social posts. It can be installed on your computer and browser and help you correct and piece of writing in any software you use. It’s like having a personal editor that helps you sound polished and professional, saving time and boosting credibility.
HemmingWay App
What does the HemingWay App do?
The HemingWay App highlights long, complex sentences and suggests simpler alternatives. This can be used to make your content easier to read – this is very important online because Google loves natural easy-to-read language and people too. Reading friction can make people click away from your site/blog.
How do coaches use the HemingWay App?
It makes your writing clearer and more engaging. If you tend to ramble or use industry jargon, Hemingway ensures your message is concise and easy for clients to digest. It is designed to help you simplify the grammar and use more common words to reduce the reading difficulty.
Quillbot
What it does Quillbot do?
Another of my favourites, Quillbot is an AI-powered paraphrasing and summarizing tool. It can help you humanize your articles through paraphrasing and simplification. And can also correct grammar. It has a very good AI detection tool that can help you reduce the AI content you put on your website.
How do coaches use Quillbot?
Coaches use Quillbot to simplify existing content (or content generated by ChatGPT or Claude) through the paraphrasing tool. It helps you also transform the tone of a long blog post and make it sound more human-written. It can summarize long-form content into short form which can be ideal for social media and it also corrects your grammar and helps you find citations.
Cast Magic
What does CastMagic Do?
Another tool I love and use weekly is CastMagic. It transcribes and repurposes audio or video content (e.g., podcasts, videos) into text, show notes, summaries, newsletters and even social media snippets.
How can coaches an use CastMagic?
It can help you turn webinars, client sessions, podcasts and videos into written material that can then be repurposed. For example, when using a transcript of your own voice and ideas with ChatGPT you can create content that is completely unique and does not get tagged as AI content. It’s a massive time-saver if you run webinars, host a podcast, or simply record coaching sessions and want quick summaries or promotional clips.
It will create your show notes newsletter and social media copy to promote the podcast or video you just created.

Descript also automatically transcribes your voice into text, making editing as simple as deleting or rearranging words in a document.
If you want to turn blog posts into a podcast – it does that too! and it uses your own voice. It doesn’t sound 100% natural if you’re not American to have a strong non-English accent but it’s close – and way better than not having a podcast.
For editing, Descript offers text-based audio editing, so you can cut out filler words (“uh,” “um”) in one click or easily remove mistakes. It also cleans out background noise removes your ehrmms and ahhs and enhances voice clarity, ensuring your podcast sounds polished.
