I collated this social scheduling tools showdown because as a content marketer, I have jumped from tool to tool over the years as they get bigger and better. I need to be as active as possible on Social Media and I understand the frustration that sets in every time I need a new tool. Posting often helps me make sure that my content get seen by my audience.
After checking out about 10 social scheduling tools I have shortlisted the most comprehensive ones for a range of prices: MeetEdgar, Hootsuite, Post Planner and Buffer.
The verdict – there is no such thing as a perfect social media posting tools; there is only the right tool for you. I have taken a couple of months to assess the best social scheduling tools on the market and have summarised all the information below to help you take a quick, yet well-informed decision.
Hootsuite goes first because it’s the one I have used the longest. It is not the cheapest but has one of the cheapest entry points
What I love about Hootsuite:
It supports automatic Instagram Scheduling.
It has a free Plan which includes 3 social profiles, 1 user and Basic Scheduling
I also like the Chrome Plugin which allows you to schedule on-the-go
Common but Important Features:
Posting is easy. You can post to multiple platforms at once.
You can see the Scheduled posts in a calendar format
You can edit scheduled posts
You can schedule around 100 posts at one go in the queue
You can user RSS posting
Some very nice reporting options that can, however, get pricey.

Buffer is a good option and it also has a free option with 10 Social Media Platforms
What I love about Buffer:
It supports automatic Pinterest Scheduling. (as well as Instagram)
It has a free Plan which includes 5 social profiles (1 per platform), 1 user with Basic Scheduling
I also like the Chrome Plugin which allows you to schedule on-the-go

Posting is easy. You can post to multiple platforms at once.
You can see the Scheduled posts in a calendar format
You can edit scheduled posts
You can schedule only 10 posts at one go in the queue for the free option. (paid options are comparable to Hootsuite)

It starts from $49 per month payable yearly.
Common but Important Features:
Does NOT support Instagram or Pinterest only LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook. This is the reason why this one is not my favourite.

It lets you search content from the web and rates it to give you a good idea of how engaging it was
